So my "second office" (ie a public estabishment) has free wifi, but every day I go there I can connect to their wifi but get "no internet connection" message. so every day the restart their Verizon router and then I can connect. My theory is the gateway gives out 255 addresses every day and is not releasing any DNS/DCHP leases.

May 23, 2016 · Most routers are set up to use DHCP to assign ip addresses to devices that are connected to it. Occasionally, as with most electronics, there will be a snafu, and simply powering the router off and then on again will resolve the issue. For good measure, I recommend, powering off the kindle again as well.
